Vintage set of 1847 Rogers Bros. triple plated flatware in the “Old Colony 1911” pattern, circa 1940s/50s. This elegant pattern was first introduced in 1911 and discontinued in 1973. It became one of the most popular silverplate patterns and is in great demand today. Stamped XS TRIPLE, which means that each piece is triple-plated, with three times the silver content as ordinary silverplate. TOTAL OF 59 PIECES: 12 knives (2 blades are shaped slightly differently than the others) 6 salad forks 5 dinner forks 8 teaspoons 6 tablespoons 5 soup spoons 8 relish forks 7 butter knives 2 spreading knives In good condition, with evidence of use and wear consistent with age, including scratches, discoloration, and mild tarnish.
