For your consideration is this exceptionally rare and hard to find vintage Laughing Child Play Doll produced by Georgene Novelties Company of New York City during the 1950s. This 26 inches tall doll is the creation of Georgene Averill which the namesake is printed on the back of the dolls vinyl head. Both the head and hands are vinyl with the rest being stuffed oil cloth, making it easy to surface clean. He has green sleep eyes with soft upper eyelashes and painted lower lashes. The doll features an open mouth laughing expression and you can see two lower molded teeth and the doll's molded tongue. The doll has dimples on each cheek. The molded hair is brown in color. The doll is wearing a vintage Sears blue corduroy jumpsuit (Size 12-18 Months) with an appliqué of an red anchor with a life preserver upon the chest. Condition: The doll's vinyl was a little sticky (results of polymer aging) and there was a bit of dirt which was stuck to the pieces. I've taken great care to surface clean
