This beautiful quilt features the traditional Broken Star pattern in forest greens, rusty reds, and beige florals on a white background. A queen mattress is 60″ wide and 80″ long, therefore this quilt would have a 12” drop on each side. About This Pattern: This pattern is known as the Broken Star because of the outer star that appears to be breaking up outwards from the central Lone Star. Specific to the Amish and Mennonite communities of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, the eight-pointed star Lone Star, also known as the Star of Bethlehem, symbolizes members of the family with God as the center. Purchased roughly 30 years ago give or take a few years, while I was living in Lititz PA. It has 2 small tears that I will be repairing tonight but wanted you to know they were there and a few spots of stains from age. Otherwise this has been washed on delicate with baby detergent to keep color and have the least amount of damage. Shown on queen bed. Smoke free home Fast shipping
