This is a rare vintage DX Electronic Police Notebook toy, made by Bandai in 1989. This is a toy from the 1989 Metal Hero Tokusatsu series Kidou Keiji Jiban (Mobile Detective Jiban). You may fondly remember this as Detective Naoto Tamura's Police Badge. As Jiban, this police notebook serves as his badge, and to communicate/summon his arsenal of weapons, including his partners Spylas, Vatican, and Reson. This toy is fully functional despite of its age. However, it does show some wear due to age. There are noticeable scratches around the plastic and a nail polish stain on the back of the badge. I have provided a video (pending eBay review) to show its functionality. Open the badge and press different combinations to "summon" Jiban's Biolon-fighting partners as well as to play the opening theme. Great collector's item for a fan of the beloved series. I got this during my last visit to Japan at a small vintage hobby shop.
