When I saw this little book, I couldn't believe that it was at least 168 years old. It looks like it just sat on a shelf and hasn't even been read. When I open it, it feels like the cover and pages were never even opened fully. There is no foxing. Pages are Gilded (Gold edge). A prior owner wrote a name and the date 1856 on the title page (but no other writing that I can see). There is no printed publication date. A similar book was published by this publisher in 1840, as part of a 2-book set with another poet. Author: Mark Akenside, M.D. (1721–1770), English poet and physician Leather bound 223 numbered pages Publisher: William S. Orr & Co. (LONDON) 1830 - 1905 Publication date: Unknown but 1856 or earlier Size: 3 3/4" H x 2 1/2" W I cannot find another one of these for sale on the Internet, let alone in this condition. This book will be properly protected when it is shipped, so it will arrive in excellent condition. Price is firm.
