1948 Sheaffer Tuckaway Statesman Pen Pencil Set. If you are reviewing this you know what it is. Purchased for my daughter, so I re-did the seals (Nishimura style), new head gasket (Zorn), cleaned, light polish, heat set the nib, adjusted flow and light nib polish - it is smooth and slightly wet. Ink dries in less than 12 seconds with Herbin Pearl Noir. Draws ink as per refurbished tuckaway specs I would say this is a medium nib, and is firm but big and a pleasure to write with. All this and She doesn't like the clasp ! Of which they both work and the Pencil does as well. Original case and paperwork. Just not for me to keep and want to move it along to someone that will use it. Just looking to get back what I have in it for the set and parts. Ready to write and use !
