Beautiful fully functional & sturdy antique. Perfect working shape, and lovely patina. Measures roughly 15” long altogether, with a 10” blade. This is beloved to be made by toolmakers in the Pennsylvania Amish community before the turn of the century. The Amish made their own tools, and they were often of even higher quality than the industrially-produced mass market tools that they would copy as prototypes…for example, this very closely resembles the popular keyhole saw made by WARRANTED SUPERIOR at the time…the shape & dimensions are almost identical, yet it lacks any stamps or engravings. It’s also just a tad bit “cruder” in terms of sheer aesthetics…notice how the handle appears to be less fine-honed, and how standard nuts & bolts are used, as opposed to more polished/refined hardware with logos, etc. Sold as pictured.
